Costs

The issue of costs is a concern for many patients. Here, we provide information about the billing options for your treatment or stay at the Wörgl Private Hospital.

All patients are informed about the individual costs and the reimbursement options with the relevant insurance providers prior to any surgical treatment.

Patients with private supplementary insurance in Austria

Your private health insurance usually covers the stay in our private hospital in a double room. In this case, costs are invoiced directly to your private supplementary insurance provider. If you have an existing double room contract, an upgrade to a single room is, of course, possible for an additional fee. Since the insurance coverage and any potential deductible can only be seen from your policy, we kindly ask you to clarify this with your insurance advisor before your stay.

Patients with private, international supplementary insurance

Direct billing agreements exist with some supplementary insurance providers. If no direct billing agreement exists with your insurance provider, you must provide a security deposit in the amount of the cost estimate. Please contact us before your stay if you have questions or concerns. We would be happy to explain the available payment options.

Patients with accident insurance

Your treatment may also be covered by a corresponding accident insurance. We always make sure to point this out to our patients, as most of them have such insurance. Our staff is happy to inform you about the billing process.

Patients without private supplementary insurance

You can of course use the services provided in our private hospital on a self-pay basis. The Wörgl Private Hospital has direct billing agreements with almost all Austrian social insurance providers.

Their share is already taken into account in the hospital costs. Therefore, submitting the invoice is no longer necessary.

Medical fees should generally be discussed with the treating physicians. Whether a (partial) reimbursement of the medical fees is possible depends on the respective social insurance.

Our staff is very happy to provide you with price information or cost estimates. Upon admission to our clinic, we kindly ask for a deposit in cash or by credit or debit card.

Direct billing agreements

Your hospital stay can be billed directly to almost all Austrian private health insurers and to almost all Austrian social insurance providers, as well as to many international health insurers.

Direct billing means that the bill for fees and charges incurred during your stay is sent directly from Wörgl Private Hospital to the relevant insurance provider.
